How to Return

Contact our team

Email hello@avelyngold.com.au within 30 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and the reason for return. We'll reply within one business day with a pre-paid Australia Post label.

Ship your piece back

Pack the item in its original Avelyngold box, attach the pre-paid label, and drop it at any Australia Post outlet. Your return is insured from the moment we issue the label — no risk to you.

Receive your refund

Once we receive and inspect the item (usually 1–2 business days after delivery), we process your full refund to the original payment method within 5 business days. You'll receive an email confirmation.

Exclusions

Our 30-day return policy covers all standard catalogue pieces. The following are excluded:

  • Bespoke and custom-order pieces— pieces designed to a customer’s personal specification (including ring builder orders and fully custom commissions) are non-returnable once production has begun.
  • Final-sale items— any item marked “final sale” or sold during a clearance event is not eligible for return or exchange.
  • Engraved pieces — personalised engraving voids return eligibility (exchanges for sizing issues are still available).
  • Items showing signs of wear or damage — pieces must be returned in unworn, original condition. We reserve the right to decline returns where the piece has been altered, worn, or damaged after delivery.

If you already own an Avelyngold ring and it doesn’t fit, remember: all ring purchases include free lifetime resizing. No return required — just bring it in or post it to us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I exchange for a different ring size instead of returning?
Yes — and in most cases we recommend it. Contact us and we'll organise an exchange. If the replacement piece needs to be made fresh (e.g. a different size of the same model), we'll advise on lead time. If you're an Avelyngold customer, remember that all ring purchases include free lifetime resizing under our Lifetime Promise.
What if my item arrived damaged?
We're sorry. All shipments are insured for this reason. Contact us immediately with photos of the damage and the original packaging. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund, and we'll handle the insurance claim on your behalf — you don't have to do a thing.
Can I return a diamond I bought separately (not set in a ring)?
Yes. Loose diamonds purchased through Avelyngold fall under our standard 30-day return policy, provided they have not been set, modified, or the GIA/IGI certificate has not been separated from the stone.
What happens if I've lost the original packaging?
The piece itself needs to be in original, unworn condition. The box is helpful but not strictly required — contact us and we'll advise. Pieces that show signs of wear, alteration, or damage beyond what was present at delivery are not eligible for return.
How long does the refund take to appear in my account?
We process the refund within 5 business days of receiving your item. Depending on your bank, it may take a further 2–5 business days to appear as a credit. Stripe refunds are typically faster. We'll email you the moment the refund is processed.
